These terms are for people who receive text messages from a repair shop that uses Auto Shop App. How a shop collects your agreement at the counter is described on How customers opt in to text messages.
The repair shop you left your vehicle with sends these messages. The shop uses Auto Shop App, software made by Andrew Bertran, doing business as Auto Shop App, to send them. Every message names the shop and gives the shop's phone number. Auto Shop App is the technology the shop uses; the shop is the sender and is responsible for the messages.
Texts about the repair of your vehicle and your visits to the shop, such as:
Service reminders, telling you your vehicle's next service is due, are sent only if the shop has turned them on and you have separately agreed to receive them.
You gave the shop your mobile number in person at check-in, and the advisor asked whether the shop may text you about your repair. The shop records your answer, the date, and the name of the employee who asked. Agreeing to texts is not a condition of any purchase or of any repair. If you say no, the shop contacts you by phone instead.
Usually three to four messages per repair visit, while the shop has your vehicle, plus replies to any messages you send, an appointment confirmation and reminder when you book, and, only if you agreed to them, occasional service reminders.
Message and data rates may apply, according to your mobile plan.
Reply STOP to any message. Also recognized: STOPALL, UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END, QUIT. You will receive one confirmation and no further texts from that shop's number. You can also tell the shop in person or by phone that you do not want texts.
Reply START (or UNSTOP) from the same phone.
Reply HELP (or INFO), or call the shop at the number in its message. For questions about these terms, email info@autoshopapp.com.
Supported on major U.S. carriers. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
Your mobile number is used only by that shop to text you about your vehicle. It is never sold, rented, or shared with other shops or with anyone for marketing or promotional purposes, and mobile opt-in data and consent are not shared with third parties except the messaging providers that deliver the texts. A number that has replied STOP is recorded permanently and checked before every message. See the Auto Shop App Privacy Policy and the shop's own privacy notice.
